How the record controls work.
When you display the CJA form, you are viewing a stack of clients details one on top of the another. To view the first on the stack, click on the rewind “First” button on the far left side of the group of controls. The screen will then change to display the first client. To view the last client click on the “Last”button. To view the previous record, click on the “Previous” button. To create a new client record click on the “New” button on the far right side of the group of controls. This will create a new empty slot for you to enter a new clients details.
Important
If at any time, you are prevented from carrying out any of the above operations it is almost certainly because you are trying to view data that does not exist, or you have not finished editing the current record.
Important
When you enter a new clients details make certain that the contacts last name is entered, along with the full address details. This will help you track the client and send invoices.
Amongst the video style controls, two numbers are displayed. The record position indicator in the middle of the group of controls. This tells you where in the group of clients records you are, "1" indicates the first record. On the far right, the number of clients records stored in the database is displayed. This installation of JobVision has only six clients.
Each client may request many jobs. A list of all the clients jobs are visible in the job form which is inside the client form. The job form is the rectangle below and to the right of the client information. The text is maroon and the text boxes are blue with light blue text. Once the client information has been entered, details about a clients job can be entered.
Deleting Clients
To delete a client select the record selector on the far left of the form by clicking on it once with the mouse. It is the large vertical bar to the left of the vertical text “contact” and the green text “Client Information”. Press the “delete” key on the keyboard to delete that client.
